SSCP stands for Systems Security Certified Practitioner and is an ISC2 certification focused on network security and operations. Who is SSCP - Systems Security Certified Practitioner for?

SSCP is ideal for IT administrators, managers, directors and network security professionals who are responsible for operational security. It aligns with roles such as Network Security Engineer, IT or Systems or Network Administrator, Security Analyst, Systems Engineer, Security Consultant or Specialist, Security Administrator, Systems or Network Analyst and Database Administrator. It is also relevant for individuals working in a security operations centre environment performing roles such as incident handler, SIEM analyst, forensics specialist and threat intel researcher.


Prerequisites


To qualify for SSCP, candidates must have a minimum of one year cumulative full-time experience in one or more of the seven domains of the ISC2 SSCP Exam Outline. If you do not yet have the required experience, you may become an Associate of ISC2 after successfully passing the SSCP exam, then you have two years to earn the experience needed for SSCP certification.

Exam Details

The SSCP exam evaluates your expertise across seven security domains. Passing the exam proves you have the advanced knowledge and technical skills to implement, monitor and administer IT infrastructure using security best practices, policies and procedures.


  • Format: SSCP exam

  • Number of questions: 125

  • Duration: up to 3 hours

  • Passing score: 70% (700 out of 1,000)


Exam delivery: in-person at Pearson VUE testing centres only.
