About
What is Commercial Mediation?
Commercial mediation is a voluntary, confidential, and structured process led by a neutral third party 'the mediator' to help parties reach mutually acceptable resolutions in disputes. Unlike litigation or arbitration, mediation promotes cooperation, party self-determination, and privacy, offering a non-adversarial pathway to conflict resolution.
In commercial contexts, mediation can preserve business relationships, reduce costs, and support long-term solutions that are legally sound and practically workable. Across the Arab world, mediation also resonates with cultural traditions of consensus and honour-based reconciliation.
MENA Executive Training delivers a comprehensive IMI Certified Mediator Training Programme that combines international standards with a deep appreciation for regional norms and expectations.
What is the IMI Certified Mediator Training Programme?
This is a 27-week, online, part-time training programme designed to develop competent, culturally aware commercial mediators. It covers over 60 hours of synchronous instruction, with additional asynchronous learning, readings, and assessments.
The training is delivered through live sessions twice per week and includes extensive role-play simulations, peer and instructor feedback, and scenario-based learning rooted in both international best practices and Arab regional contexts.
Assessment is based on capstone role-plays, a written reflection, and structured feedback using standardised rubrics, ensuring that participants meet measurable competencies in real-world scenarios.
Why is Commercial Mediation Important for You?
Commercial disputes can escalate quickly, draining time, money, and goodwill. Court proceedings are often public, rigid, and protracted. Mediation provides an alternative that is efficient, confidential, and designed to repair or preserve relationships.
This training prepares participants to act as skilled mediators, helping parties navigate disputes through structured dialogue, cultural sensitivity, and principled negotiation. With a growing number of mediation-friendly laws in the region and increasing interest in ADR, certified mediators are well-positioned to meet legal, institutional, and commercial demand.

Why Should You take this Training Course?

This programme helps professionals in law, business, and government to not only understand but actively lead in this evolving space.
